Production
Lighting design, radio mics, sound and show control for productions of every size, from school musicals and pantomimes to shows touring the UK.

Good theatre technology keeps the audience on the story. Our theatre team designs and programmes lighting states, specs and mixes wireless mic systems, and builds the cue stack that runs your show night after night. They can step in as your production electrician, sound designer or show operator, or as all three.
We support amateur dramatic societies, schools, colleges, touring companies and venues across Nottingham, Derby and Leicester. That might be a full package for a week-long run in a hired hall, or extra moving lights and radio mics to top up a venue's in-house rig.
We know the realities of theatre budgets and get-in schedules. You'll get a clear quote, a realistic plan for the fit-up and a crew who'll work around your tech and dress rehearsals.
What's included
Available across Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Birmingham, Mansfield, Loughborough, Chesterfield, Burton upon Trent, Lincoln, Northampton, Sheffield, Coventry, Stoke-on-Trent, London and the wider East Midlands, plus the rest of the UK and Europe.

Touring productions
A touring show has to look and sound as good on its last night as it did on press night, in venues that are all slightly different. We build touring lighting, sound and video packages around your designer's plan, then prep, test and flight-case every item in our Long Eaton warehouse before it leaves.
Everything is labelled, cabled and packed to load the same way every time, so get-ins and get-outs stay quick, even on tight one-nighter schedules. Where it helps, we use pre-rigged truss and pre-built looms, so the rig goes up in the order it came down.

Working with venues
Before a run or tour starts, we go through each venue's technical spec: power, rigging points, house rig, sound system and get-in access. We advance the details with the venue's technicians so there are no surprises on the day.
We can top up a venue's in-house rig, bring a complete system into a space with very little kit, or supply only the specialist pieces, such as moving lights, a bigger desk or extra radio mic channels.

Plans & paperwork
Good shows are built on good paperwork. We can provide lighting plans and hanging plots, patch and channel lists, radio mic plots and cue sheets, plus the risk assessments and method statements venues ask for.
Our technicians then focus, plot and programme with your director and designers, run the cue stack through tech and dress rehearsals, and either operate the show or hand it over to your own team with training.

How it works
We talk through the show, the venues and the budget, and work from your designer's plan or help shape one.
Plots, paperwork and kit lists, then we advance each venue's spec, power and get-in with their technicians.
Kit is prepped and pre-programmed in our warehouse, then rigged, focused and plotted in the venue.
We run tech and dress, operate the show or train your team, then pack it down or move on to the next venue.
Yes. A large part of our theatre work is for amateur societies, schools and colleges. We scale the package to the venue and budget, and can train your own crew to run it.
Yes. We supply Sennheiser digital wireless systems and can source additional channels for larger casts, with an operator to mix them if you need one.
Absolutely. We regularly add moving lights, followspots, haze, extra speakers or a larger desk to a venue's in-house system for a specific production.
Yes. We build touring packages around your designer's plan, then prep, test and flight-case everything in our Long Eaton warehouse so it loads, rigs and packs the same way at every venue.
Yes. Send us the plan, channel list and any existing show file. We'll match the rig to the design, suggest alternatives where a fixture isn't available, and have it programmed and ready for your plotting session.
Yes. We go through each venue's technical spec, power, rigging points and get-in access, and advance the details with their technicians before you arrive, so the show adapts to every stage without losing its look.
Your dates, venue or tour schedule, a rough idea of the design or the kit list, the cast size if you need radio mics, and whether you want us to operate or just supply. A rough brief is fine to start with.
As early as possible, ideally once your dates and venue are confirmed. Pantomime and summer show season books up quickly, but it's always worth asking about shorter notice.
