When you hire event equipment you have two options. Collect the kit and run it yourself (dry hire), or have the supplier's technicians deliver, install and operate it (crewed hire). Here's how to choose.

Dry hire

You collect the equipment, tested and packed, from our Long Eaton warehouse, or we deliver it. Your own team builds, operates and returns it.

  • Best for: production companies, venues, schools and experienced crews
  • Pros: lower cost, full control
  • Watch out for: you're responsible for safe rigging, power and operation

Crewed hire

Our technicians deliver, build, programme and run the equipment for your event, then de-rig and take it away.

  • Best for: conferences, weddings, awards, live shows and anyone without a technical team
  • Pros: no stress, expert operation, one point of contact
  • Watch out for: it costs more than dry hire, but usually less than a problem on the night

The middle ground

Many clients dry hire most of the kit and add one of our technicians for the complicated part, such as an LED wall or lighting desk. Just ask.
