Lighting is one of the most effective ways to transform a wedding venue, and it's often more affordable than couples expect. Here are the ideas our wedding team recommends most.
Uplighting
Uplighters placed around the walls wash the room in colour. Matching your theme, or a warm amber for a cosy feel, changes the room instantly. Compact LED fixtures and wireless control keep set-up quick and tidy, which barns and historic venues love.
Monogram gobos
A custom gobo projects your initials, names or wedding date onto the dance floor, a wall or a ceiling. It's a personal touch that looks great in photos.
Festoon and fairy-light canopies
Festoon canopies bring the ceiling down and create intimacy in large rooms and marquees. They're perfect for barn and garden weddings.
Pin-spotting
Narrow spotlights on centrepieces and the cake make the details glow as the room gets darker.
Dance-floor lighting
A lighting change as the band or DJ starts gives the evening a focal point. Moving heads and colour washes turn a dining room into a dance floor in seconds.
First-dance effects
Cold-spark fountains either side of the dance floor make a dramatic, photogenic finish to your first dance. They don't use pyrotechnics, but your venue must approve them, so ask early.
Plan it together
The best wedding lighting is planned with your venue's layout and your timings in mind. Take a look at our wedding production services, or book a call to talk through ideas.
